How to Search This Site
Type the word you’re looking for into the search box. This will take you to word you’re looking for (if the word appears in the title of the review) or to the review in which the word appears (if the word doesn’t appear in the title). If you don’t see the word you want after you hit “Enter” or “Return,” open the review(s) listed on the left side of the page or on the pull-down menu under the search box. You’ll find the word in the review. Many authors appear in more than one post.
All posts on this site are archived in at least two ways. They are saved 1) with all the posts for the month in which the review appeared and 2) in at least one category (often in multiple categories). For example, if you are looking for a novel that was reviewed in June 2007 the post will always be saved both in the “Novels” category AND with the June 2007 posts. Every reading group guide is archived both in the “Totally Unauthorized Reading Group Guides” category and with the posts month in which the guide appeared. The “Delete Key Awards” category has all the posts related to the annual awards for the year’s worst writing in books. The 10 finalists were announced in 10 separate posts on Feb. 28, 2007, so those posts are also saved with the February 2007 posts. And the first, second and third place winners were announced in separate posts on March 15, 2007, so those posts are also saved with the March posts.
Every book that receives a full review on this site also is summarized in one sentence in the “Books in a Sentence” category (though this is often a few weeks behind the calendar). If you see a one-sentence review of a book there, you can find a full review by entering the title in the search box.
Some posts are also saved in additional, broader categories, such as “books” or “book reviews.” But these categories not contain all the “books” or “book reviews” that have appeared on this site, because they exist mainly to help search engines find them and some entries may be deleted.
More than one post per day often appears on this site. So if you click on a dated link, you’ll may see to the last post of that day. Scroll down through the day’s posts to find the post you’re looking for.
