Have you noticed that some books are now coming out with pages of “reader reviews” before the title page or on the back cover?

“Reader reviews” could come from anybody — your friends, classmates, neighbors, librarian. After you’ve finished a novel, get as many of them as you can to give you quotes so that the publisher can use them if Philip Roth or Joyce Carol Oates isn’t available. Something is always better than nothing.
