Thanks, Amelia. You’d like it even more if you had children and lived in a city because there are relatively few books about the joys of urban life. So many picture books deal with farms, suburbs or fantasy worlds …

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile has to be one of my all-time favorite books. In fact, I think I will order a copy today for when my nieces and nephews–all of whom, like Lyle, live in NYC–come to visit.
