shame shame shame on me! I am reading ONE DANGEROUS LADY by Jane S Hitchcock. Last summer I read her SOCIAL CRIMES (which came first, though it does't matter at all.) It's centered in NYC (a big point in its favor) but it's (sort of) socialite/murder/chicklit. And I have this glorious stack of "real" reads to get through, many from your blog, and yet I read...this? Go figure. I'll be back when I get through the sci-fi and CRY THE BELOVED COUNTRY as mentioned many blogs ago.
signed, an indulgent shallow summer reader!
