Malcolm: You might especially enjoy the passages where she talks about the stigma of being a Campbell in the Highlands after the Massacre at Glencoe ...

One of the things I like about this book is that Liza Campbell can take an incident like that massacre, one of the most famous in Scottish history, and write about it a way that doesn't make you feel you're reading a rehash of what's in every guidebook.
